Fance and Russia were angry because of the american political Seizure of Irak and other Gulf countries.Both Countries have exercised Pressure over the americans since the US-invasion made them lose their Business there.(Russia signed shortly before the Invasion a 45 billion Dollars project with Saddam hussein)
The Position of the French and Russia encouraged Syria to strengthen the Opposition to the US-Politics in Irak,and that all made the insurgency Tendencies against the Invasion Forces (psychologically at least)grow higher,which helped the french make the Pressure more effective. The Consequences:A french american Settlement forced Syria to Withdraw its Forces from Lebanon,and made Lebanon a political and strategical space for France in exchange for the french Silence over US-political Role in Irak and other Gulf Countries(The same was done in 1916 between England and France).
The french gave up playing the Troubles Maker for the americans.But what is about Russia?
In order to make that more practical,the exploited Syria became isolated through the US-embargo and the french Lebanon Politics.The Isolation of Syria made the russians have their corner in the Middle East as well.The Threat that Syria faced and is still facing,made Syria look for a Veto Protection inside the Security Council.Russia with its Veto status and permanent Memebership in the Security Council,has been attracting Syria.So Syria fell in the russian Hand.
A chinese official declared last week;that Syria is doing well,and emphasized the Baath political Role in making the syrians politically and economically blossom.
The Division:The Brother (Lebanon)declared loyalty to France(Many Members of the lebanese House of Representatives affirmed that),The sister(Syria)turned to Russia,America and England Stretched their Wings over the the Rest of the Brothers in the Gulf Countries.
What could Syria do to prevent that Division?the Syrian national Arabism seems to be turning practically into a Syrianism through the mentioned shrinkage.The Syrian national Party is the Model of that stream. What will happen if Syria stops defending the arab Interests,and focus on its own Interest?that would mean standing against the Nature of the arab,which is thought to be born in according to michael Aflak(1),and not merely acquired.
Let us turn then to the Question of the Know how,namely how to defend the arab Interest?and what has the syrian Government been doing to achieve such a policy?
The 12000 syrian Soldiers that we lost in Lebanon,should have achieved with their sacrificed Lives some arabism Goals,but the result shows us triumphal lebanese declaring their independence from Syria,and considering the Syrians as an Occupation Force.Their french Auspice,direct them in according to some francophonic Notes.
So the syrian sacrificed 12000 Martyrs,but the french have reaped the political Influence.
In 1958,the syrian Baath Party dissolved itself,to make the Unity with the poor Egypt possible,but the result was:Exploiting Syria through the Egyptian Nassirists.
In 1973(again),Syria and Egypt declared the War against Israel,and wanted to recapture the Golan Hights and Snai,but the egyptians declared the Cease fire and left Syria alone in the Battlefield,to be forced to withdraw from the freed Land.The Syrians entered Lebanon to rescue the Maronites in he year 1976 from being killed and marginalized by the Palastinian fighters,but the strongest opposition to the syrians came from the Maronites later.The lebanese in general,have been provoking Syria since the Assassination of the former PM Alhariri.Lebanese officials declared the need for Reforming the syrian system politically and economically. Many House Representives and Oppositionists have been affirming:that their bad relation to the syrian Government doesn’t harm the good relation between the lebanese and the syrian People,but what they did indeed was;Killing the syrian Workers and kidnaping the syrian People. The Palastinians hated Syria because of marginalizing their Role in Lebanon and striking their Forces at Alzatar Hill,but never loved Syria when syrian armed Forces rescued them from being completely massacred by King hussein of Jordan,and never thanked Syria for protecting them and the lebanese in 1982 in Lebanon,or building and financing their Militias and Organizations in all over the arab World.The PLO went to discuss Peace separately,despite the syrian pushy demand,to make the peace tallk a two parties Talk. The Palastinian Fatah and other Organizations projects,seem to be turning into some drifting Projects,dominated lastly by the US-role in the Middle East.
That is to say;that the governmental national political Investments in the Arabism Field hasn’t been thriving well.
The question that the syrian Government should be asked is:why should all that syrian Sacrifice of Money and Lives be trampled and gone,without any positive impact?and why should the fruit of our historical effort go to the french or some other claimed Peace Auspices?
The answer we do know…The syrian Government would say:those treacherous Arabs.
That was expressed even by the president Baschar Alassad in his last Parliament Talk,through which he declared the withdrawal from Lebanon. That Answer seems to be right,but it is not the justification of being fell in the hand of the trecherous and exploiting Arabs or foreigners.The politicians are asked to achieve success and not justify defeat or bring some ethical interpretations of the political Unfortunes.
The President Baschar Alassad has been financing Lebanon with free electricity and infrastructure since he was elected,and that philanthropism responds to the Philosophy of Albaath party,and the Philosophy of the arab Nationalism.But does the Keynesianism of Baschar Alassad arab policy bear the responsibility for the political Loss in Lebanon and some other Parts of the arab World?
The truth is:there are no treators in the arab World,but interpreneuring Bands,Kings and Dictators,whose will predominate and overstep the Will of the good arab People, whose loyalty to the common arab interest is supposed to be natural.
The Effort of the syrian Assads could thrive if the arab Countries were democratical. The mentioned Interpretation is possible,but can not justify the Misery of course.
A further question:was it possible for Syria to prevent the Division in the Middle East?I would say Yes.If Syria didn’t stand against the Invasion of Irak,we would have the free Hand in Lebanon,and would be in a good relation to the United States as well.Our Position as a peace Party would have been growing stronger,and the israeli Role would have been growing weaker since then.The french would never be able to set feet in Lebanon or in the rest of the Middle East,if we were in a good relation to the United States.The russian Weapons would not have been needed,and the syrian economy would have been doing better.The strategical Baath goals would have been more trusted,America wouldn’t suppress the arab Nationalism,if the arab Nationalism is not turning against the americans.
If we will not be in a better relation to the United States in Case of neutrality or Support of the Invasion,we wouldn’t be in a worse Position although.
Question:Is it ethically justified to support the Invasion or stay neutral?This question seems to be confusing.A possible Answer:Supporting the Removal of Saddam Hussein is justified through the following facts: Saddam Hussein has been harming the arab and syrian Interests through his Actions. In the eighties,he trained and sent some islamic extremists to Syria(Homs),where they blew some civilian bus and Vehicles up in the air.Terrorist were trained in Irak,to accomplish their Terror Missions inside Syria.
The Last and most decisive Point is:We(Syrians)should not accept the Will of some who want us to stay on the opposite Side.During th soviet Empire we were on the opposite Side of the Division,the poor Side,while we are politically,strategically and economically rich.We had to,because we were in need for Weapons,to fight willinglessly in a War that was originally and strategically not our.
Today,there is no Communism Empire.The Veto Club is planing to find a reaon or cause of placing us on the opposite Side,which may make a cold division possible.
There is no doubt;that this strategy is the goal of the Veto Syttem.The new Trick is to mediate and bring the Muslim Brotherhood Org. Members back. That will link us to the Alkaida,and insure some additional Links to China,north Korea,and some other Martionettes.it is the alternative for the Division Cause that was based on Communism and Capitalism in the Past. The only way to escape those Dirty Plans and cold fuck is:don’t let the Muslim Brotherhood Organization come back without becoming punished,resume the Peace dialog with Israel,improve the relation to the United States,and in Case of being forced to stay on the opposite Side,that would mean;a declaration of war against us,and our Answer should be in that Case Friedrich Nietzsche.
(Theory:some opposition Friends find that provoking Syria through Lebanon is a french Plan,aims to make Syria take some military actions,which may justify a french March supported by the americans and Israelis,and that would make the Division more Real.A good theory.Believe that the bad french Capitalism would look some how for some Wars to solve the french Crisis.As you see;french products have been bocoming uncompetitive in the last Decades,and the “grand Nation”hasn’t been consumed as such on the Market Levels.I see that this theory is good,but the Idea is too weak;simply because a french march would cost the french a higher cost than income) Some syrian politicians are responsible for the political Loss,they should avoid Making the Country refall in the Net of some international political Tricks.
Mr Baschar Alassad should rethink about his Administration Team,those who are responsible for the whole political Misery.They should give up,and it has been a political Tradition,hat those who don’t win,give up.Two days ago,Mr howard,(the Leader of the Opposition Party in the UK)resigned.He didn’t justify his defeat ethically,but saw that the political Defeat or uncompetitiveness is enough reason for resigning and leting some others do the Job.Those who are responsible for our political loss in Lebanon and some other political Fields,should resign.
We don’t regret the Withdrawal from Lebanon,but the political misery,that made the Bands from Yesterday,be leading the lebanese Society today,and the colonial France, be the claimed freedom Cause of the 14th April lebanese.The international Neocolonialism,with a new cold Version of the S.B Agreement(16th of may 1916), should stop stretching roots in the Middle East.
