The Other Iraq: In Kurdistan, more attacks against journalists
May 5, 2008—Iraqi Kurdistan cultivates an image of freedom and
tolerance, but security forces have detained top journalists, suspected
government agents have assaulted critical writers, and parliament has
debated repressive legislation, according to a special report by the
Committee to Protect Journalists.
