Terry Short was executed in Oklahoma on 17 June. He had been sentenced to death in 1997 for the January 1995 murder of Ken Yamamoto.

Terry Short was the seventh person to be put to death in the USA this year, and the 1,106th since judicial killing resumed there in 1977. Oklahoma accounts for 87 of these executions.
